Our Vision
We envision a world where access to lifesaving healthcare is not determined by geography, economic status, or infrastructure, but where global collaboration ensures that every community has the tools, knowledge, and medical support needed to thrive.
Through strategic partnerships and resource redistribution, we strive to transform preventable tragedies into opportunities for healing, dignity, and hope.
Our Story
In May 2015, a preventable tragedy changed everything. Our founder’s brother suddenly lost consciousness in his room in Ghana. Weighing nearly 300 pounds, his friends struggled to lift him into a vehicle to rush him to the hospital, because in many parts of Ghana, functioning emergency medical services and ambulances are limited or unavailable. In the process of trying to save him, they accidentally dropped him. He suffered a head injury that caused bleeding in his brain. But the tragedy did not end there. When they finally reached the hospital, there were no available beds. They were turned away and forced to search from hospital to hospital before he could be admitted. By the time he finally received care, it was too late. Just three years earlier, our founder had graduated from nursing school in the United States. For years afterward, the question lingered: What could have been done differently? Over time, it became clear that this was not just one family’s loss, but the result of systemic gaps in healthcare access that millions of people across the Global South face every day. More recently, a young doctor in Ghana shared how she had to improvise a CPAP device using a water bottle to keep a child breathing. She climbed into the ambulance herself during transport because she feared the makeshift device might dislodge and the paramedics might not be able to replace it. At the same time, in the United States and other high-income countries, hospitals routinely discard perfectly usable medical supplies due to regulatory or logistical constraints. On one side of the world, lifesaving equipment sits unused or is thrown away. On the other side, doctors are forced to improvise with whatever they can find. Transatlantic Wellness Initiative was created to bridge that gap. We believe geography should never determine whether someone lives or dies.
Make an impact.
Save lives.
